We were never patronizing, never condescending, but we cared for you the way a mother cares for her children. We loved you dearly. Not content to just pass on the message, we wanted to give you our hearts. And we did.
This is our call. To lead and love the way the early church did, to be mothers & fathers week in and week out. To look for people, to pray, to listen, to offer advice, to let people that want to be distant have space for that. To shake hands, give hugs, smile, grieve with those in loss, and mourn with those who suffer. To celebrate new life, new births, new faiths, and new marriages. Through cups of coffee, through tears, through joy, through laughter.
