Everyone has a next step, whether you are a new believer or you have been following Jesus your whole life, we believe there is always a next step.

We are here to help you find it!

Very few people get the opportunity in their lifetime to be part of the success, growth, and life-change we see happening every day in people's lives. Our Dream Team does that every week and we invite you to join us.

Our Dream Team is made up of people of all backgrounds, education levels, ages, and skills. It includes the door greeters, musicians, café, and kids volunteers that you see every Sunday morning, as well as graphic designers, photographers, office workers, and others that work countless hours behind the scenes throughout the week.

Whatever their role is, everyone on the Dream Team is advancing the kingdom of God in their own way, and we invite you to be a part of it. Click here for more information and to see a list of the teams you can serve on.

We believe that real life change happens best in the context of authentic relationships. Our "free-market" small groups meet approximately once a week in places all around our county, and provide a place for you to connect, grow, and discuss the issues and challenges of life.

Regardless of your age, interests, or location, we are certain there is a group out there for you. Small groups are also where we can pray, care for one another, and are missed if we don't show up.

Our small groups take a break in January, May, August, and December to help you during those typical seasons where life can get busy.

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example. When people are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus, and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is all about going public with your faith.

At Freedom, we view the giving of our finances to the local church as an act of worship. We serve a generous God, and growing in our relationship with Him means realizing that our time, talent, and treasure all come from Him. Through the constant generosity and obedience of so many, we are able to continue to reach more and more people not just through our weekly services, but also through the incredible organizations that we support throughout our community, country, and world.

Financial giving can be divided into two categories - tithes and offerings. The Bible teaches us that we worship the Lord with our tithe, which is the act of returning 10% of our income to the church on our regular basis. We also believe that God calls us to give over and above our tithe as an offering. Click here to learn more and find out how you can give.

If you are in need of a Bible, stop by our Welcome Center on a Sunday morning and someone there will be glad to give you one for free! You can also download the YouVersion Bible App here for free on your smart phone.

There are tons of other resources to pair with your Bible reading. Click here to see other books and resources we recommend.

Mission trips provide the opportunity to go beyond our comfort zone, beyond our church walls, and beyond our community to share the love of Jesus to all the corners of the world. We currently run 2 separate trips each year; in June we travel to the Dominican Republic and in August we travel to Alaska.

As a church, our calling to serve our community of Boone County is deeply rooted in Isaiah 61. Just as the prophet Isaiah was anointed to bring good news to the oppressed and to bind up the brokenhearted, so are we called to be the bearers of hope and healing in our own community.

Our local outreach is through ‘First Saturday Serve’ events. This is a tangible expression of God’s love for his people. By coming together once a month, we are committing to comfort those who mourn and to rebuild the ruins of lives that may have been broken. Through these acts of service and love, we seek to be the oaks of righteousness, planted by the Lord, who display His glory in Boone County and provide shade and rest to those around us. We do this through radical generosity and acts of service.

If you are interested in serving at any of the events or want more information about the Outreach team email us at office@freedom-church.org
